About Us


The Philadelphia Society of People & Strategy (PSPS) is the premier senior level human capital association for exchanging ideas, knowledge, and fellowship among the Greater Philadelphia Region's senior HR and business leaders.

The mission of the PSPS is to create a network of business leaders focused on strategic human capital initiatives.

We support our field on three levels:

  • Professional enhancement for members
  • Increased effectiveness for the organizations that our members support
  • Advancement of our profession

History & Organization
The organization was founded in 1979 as an affiliate of the Human Resource Planning Society and served to sponsor monthly roundtable discussions. Growing over the years in scope, size, and reputation, the organization has evolved to reflect the increasing complexities and changes of the businesses it represents. Previously known as the Philadelphia Human Resources Planning Group (PHRPG) and the Philadelphia Human Resources Planning Society (PHRPS), the organization was renamed the Philadelphia Society of People & Strategy (PSPS) in 2013. PSPS is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors, and served by several standing committees. We rely heavily on the active involvement, engagement, and creativity of our members who both contribute to and benefit from the association.
