Local and Virtual Area Networks (LANs and VANs)

Local Area Networks (LANs)

Local Area Networks provide members with an opportunity to learn and discuss key HR and Business issues with members in a more intimate, small group setting. The topics of the meetings are identified by the participants and the discussion is led by member facilitators. Key benefits of the LANs are:

  • Geographically defined to enable participation near your home or place of employment.
  • Meetings are typically scheduled in the morning to enable members to go to work from the meeting.
  • Smaller group facilitates networking, building relationships, and timely problem solving on HR issues.

Learn more about each LAN below [Add link to the LAN descriptions further down the page] and be sure to register to secure your spot via the Events Calendar.  Feel free to participate in sessions close to your home and/or workplace.

Note: For now, all of our LANs are now virtual in response to the COVID pandemic.  Feel free to join any session that is convenient for your schedule.

Virtual Area Network (VAN)

Have you wanted to build your PSPS network but could never get to a live session because of the time of day or the location?

Have you wanted a way to be part of a discussion of peers facing challenges similar to you but didn’t find the right forum?

If these sound like you, our new Virtual Network program may be exactly what you’re looking for. Register to secure your spot for upcoming VAN meetings via the Events Calendar.

PSPS LAN and VAN events are for PSPS Members only. If you would like to find out more about PSPS Membership, click here. Also, if you have questions about the VAN or LAN meetings, please contact Melissa Carson or Chris Jacobs.
